Hospital Records asked us to come along to Scala, London to shoot Fred V & Grafix performing tracks from their new album in the form of a live set. Together with the record label we produced a piece of social video content for their social media channels
Hospital Records liked our work on the Hospitality In The Dock after movie so we were asked to come and shoot something for Fred V & Grafix. A DJ Duo that we’re massive fans of - if you haven’t heard there essential mix we strongly suggest you give it a go… if you’re a fan of fast paced dance music that is. Unlike most DJ/dance events, it’s not just a DJ booth, some decks and lights. Fred V & Grafix were performing a full live set. They had guitar, keyboard, drums and they were singing all the vocals live too. Many of the tracks they performed were from the new Cinematic Party Music album which was recently released. We wanted to give the viewers of this video a taster of what the music is like and what to expect coming to one of these gigs.
Our goal was to create a video to help promote Fred V & Grafix on their tour and to push album sales. We headed to their sell out gig at London’s Scala venue and shot a bunch of video content for them. Primarily, this was social media content but it could be reused for promotional material too. All the footage was given to Hospital Records, so they could use it in future pieces of video content.
Once we were done with the footage we sent it to Hospital Records and their in-house video team set about editing the content. It’s always a worry handing your work other to a third party to make it good but we’re so grateful that the editor done a sterling job of it. It’s funny, playful and really gives the viewer a feel of what a Fred V & Grafix set would be like.
